After much studying and hard work, two WA Klinger team members received accreditation for their studies.
W.A. Klinger, L.L.C. is proud to announce that Steve Koza has achieved the LEED AP BD+C accreditation awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification provides independent third-party verification that a building, home or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
Steve, who is also Senior Vice President at W.A. Klinger, L.L.C., is the fourth construction professional at the firm to qualify for this important green building certification.
Matt Thompson, Vice President at W.A. Klinger, L.L.C., recently received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Wayne State College. Matt began his work at W.A. Klinger in 2002 after graduating from Iowa State University with a BS in Construction Engineering. Matt is an ASHE Certified Healthcare Construction Professional. In the past he has managed a variety of healthcare related projects including the current Unity One St. Luke’s Sunnybrook Medical Plaza.
Several other past projects Matt has managed in include the new Lags Hall at Morningside College as well as the recent facilities improvements at Allee Gymnasium and Bass Field. Matt was the senior project manager for Briar Cliff University’s expansion and remodel of Heelan Hall and the Sioux City Airport Colonel Bud Day Terminal expansion and renovation.
