Since our founding in 1919, our story has been one of resilience, passion, and commitment to excellence. It all began with our visionary founder, William A. Klinger, a veteran returning from World War I. Fueled by his dedication to engineering education and a relentless pursuit of quality, Klinger established a thriving construction enterprise in the heart of Siouxland.

In 1947, fate intertwined with ambition as Klinger's daughter married a promising banker. Despite initial reluctance, Klinger's persuasive powers led his son-in-law into the fold of our construction family. Fast forward two decades, and that once hesitant banker, Robert Gleeson, ascended to the presidency of W. A. Klinger, Inc. Under his leadership, our modest Midwestern enterprise blossomed into a national powerhouse.

The torch of leadership passed next to the third family generation as Robert's son, John Gleeson, assumed the helm. He still heads our parent company, Klinger Companies, to this day. With a steadfast commitment to the values instilled by his father and grandfather — excellence, integrity, and respect — John continues to steer our ship with strength and purpose.

Today, as we navigate the ever-changing landscape of the construction industry, we remain rooted in the values that have guided us through a century of growth and success for both the company and our clients’ projects.
